DCI 4.0 to take place on September 5-6, 2009

The theme of this year’s Digital Citizen Indaba is Digital Civil Society and Journalism in Africa and aims to focus on the complex interaction between mainstream media and civil society. It will also focus on how this interaction could be leveraged to advance civil society activism and enrich journalism on grassroots issues.Furthermore, the DCI would like to showcase interesting and inventive experiments in digital media activism with the intention of ensuring that DCI participants can integrate these practices into their work. If you want to read a more elaborate take on the DCI theme  and the questions we address please go to our Concept Document.
